Back in the '80's, I had a 2,800lb (with driver) Challenger with a W-2 360 that ran a best of 10.22 at 131 mph. Don't recall exact details, but this is pretty much it:
* Template ported W-2 heads - 2.02"/1.60" valves w 3/8" stems.
* Holley Strip Dominator or Edelbrock Victor intake
* 750 Holley double pump carb - 4779
* 360 between +.030" and +.060".
* Compression 11-1 to 12-1
* Stock rods and stroke.
* Solid flat tappet cam in the .570" - .590" range
(Had Mopar and Crower cams but don't recall more details.)
* Harland Sharp 1.5 roller rockers
* 727 Trans. Converter flash was well over 4000.
* 5.13 Dana 60 w/spool
* 14x32 rear slicks
Non ported W-2's ran mid-10's with similar parts otherwise.
I was shifting at about 7,200, but found it ran just as fast shifting at 6,800!
