How loose is new back glass in a Dart?

For our 36th wedding anniversary I let my wife help me put in a new AMD rear window. It didn't take long. I was surprised at how loose the glass is in the gasket and frame. The gasket is very pliable (Metro?). Its still a little wet and I haven't applied any butyl sealant or urethane yet. Is this normal not that there is a lot I can do about it. I will try and fill the bottom of the groove with sealant and run some between the glass and gasket too (outside). I didn't want to mess with applying sealant before installation.

my rear glass for my Duster was just the opposite, AMD sent me 2 rear windows that were too big for my opening, i will NEVER buy AMD glass again..Rich

that would be a pia. I haven't installed glass for years. When I first laid onto the body I was wondering how it ever fit. I've got the front windshield to do next. Matt

seems tighter now that everything is dry (the glass that is)
