How many CURRENT owners of real '74 360 Duster 4 speed cars on here?

-
Ok, Kim if you decide to let some of the parts go -let me know-

Ok Guys i realize that mine is not a 4 speed but, where they are 4 speed or auto they are a sweet ride. Would like to see if any of you can give me the correct casting or part numbers for the exhaust manifolds that are on a true 74 360 car?

Agreed, both are great cars. I'd like to have one of each. :)

I can grab my White Book tonight and see if the numbers are there, if no one response before then.

Happy to say that is not the case! This car has moved on. It is black now and still has a 340 between the fenders, but it is still alive!

Moved on as in you sold it, or as in you made progress on it? Just making sure I mark the tally correctly.

Glad to see it is still alive! Looks great. I love that it is parked in a living room.

Galen’s white book shows part #3614367 and cast #3614368 for a left hand exhaust manifold. This is the same numbers for the 72-3 340 in an A-body.

But it doesn’t show a number for the right hand manifold. For a 73 360 in an A/B/C/E body, the part number is 3671634. Since the A-body didn’t get a 360 in 73, maybe this is for the 74 as well? I will try and look at my build sheet in the morning and see if I can confirm.

That looks right Dion-same as 72-73 340 A-body for drivers side. The Driver's side is the unusual one and more valuable for the A-body. Whatever the number is for the 72-73 340 on the right- should be same for 74 360.

Ok i see we are throwing some ideas about the numbers for the exhaust manifolds. But does anyone here have one they can just look at and see for sure? The right side (passenger) is the one I am having trouble figuring out.

I have one of these and have been collecting parts for a restoration for the past couple of years. Lots of the 360-4 specific parts were missing, but a decent place to start. I'm not sure if original to the car (headers installed when purchased), but a cast number 3418623 manifold with date 8.31.73 was included with spare parts when purchased. Date of manufacture of the car was 2 - 74 so perhaps could have been original to the car.

I don't post very much, but thanks to all the members who provide information on this forum.

Yes that is a number that I have as a possible manifold. Thanks Sam

I got two of those (3418623) off of a 73 van I grabbed the 360 from. They are only different as in they don't have the heat riser on them.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming......... :)

You have any picture of your Duster?

gdrill – sold but still alive
Shayne Dysart – as of 2/8/2020
JRS - as of 2/13/2020

Dates are the last time they posted in this thread with something indicating they still owned the car after the previous time the list was compiled.

That’s nineteen 1974 Duster 360 original 4 speed cars, of which I can’t guess at how many are still owned by the person on the list beyond myself.
