thanks for the replies guys, I guess I'll have to take a closer look at things. the black light idea sounds good. BTW, the car came without engine or trans. the guy that bought it tried to paint the original dark green [what else] with white paint which is dull and peeling off. he did all the edges and under the hood and back side of the trunk, the out side was in primer [for the most part] Also the front seat is gone. There is NO rust in the trunk except for a small area in the drop area by the wheel opening. has the original wheel opening mouldings. He told me when I bought it that it had the 7 1/4 rear but after I got it home I looked under there and low and behold it has the 8 1/4. the floor also has no rust that I can tell. has the original carpet that looks not too bad. I popped the rear wheel off and here is the real kicker, I think it has the original drum. Why do I think this, it has the factory sheet metal nut [ the one that holds the drum on temporarily while going down the line] AND, it even has a little white dot on the drum [a factory mark I assume] That is the part that baffles me, that little white dot on the drum, how would that last for 40 years. I believe it has factory under coat. Im gonna try to get some pics up. thanks guys!
