Hey yall,
Wondering how much hp will my stock cast iron magnum 360 crank handle??
Im looking for a mid 12 second car that will see the track once a year.Mainly street driven. Thanks

Saw your title and immediately thought..............depends on how much Viagra you took.. LOL

well only good machine work and assembly will help you here (as with any build for that matter). With a legit setup I would expect a cast crank to be good for 450-500hp given that everything is correct.clearances etc... also depending on how tight you want to spin the motor. If you're wanting this for a legit street/strip motor cast crank will do you just fine.

Or get a cast steel after market crank there inbetween factory cast iron and forged crank in strength, closer to forged for about $250 or 4" for same price and don't have to spin as high to make the same power.

I ran my old combo (360, stock crank, stock rods with ARP bolts, and JE pistons) for 8 years on the bottle every pass in Colorado. It ran 11.1 @ 121mph...no problems at all....not saying this is a good thing to do, but it did work just fine.
