Closer to 50 lbs. I shipped a stock cast iron 360 2 barrel intake to Canada recently, with packaging it weighed 55.5 lbs. Packing was just cardboard, so I'd guess about 50 lbs of intake on that one.

Casting #3512100

Stock cast iron unit should weigh in at = 49.5 lbs.

An Edelbrock Aluminum #7176 Performer = 21.0 lbs.

71 340 intake Casting #3512100 weighed 45 pounds on my bathroom scale... Aren't Performers small port intakes?

Edelbrock Performer #2176 {318-340-360} = {21 lbs.}

Chrysler 340 Cast Iron Intake Manifolds have a 4 lb. variance, between 46 and 50 lbs.

I'm very new to the site and don't mean to intrude in your convo but I very much agree with 72 blu. I'm pretty sure the standard 4bbl intake weighs just in at around 50lbs. I would also say you did a very nice job on that. Looks good

Welcome aboard Dusterman. Mine weight 50lbs. as well. But, like it's said above, depending on year and what is equiped with, the weight will vary a little.

Very nice work. I have one like that I started on about 5 milleniums ago and stopped right after the grinder did.....:eek:ops: that was set up for the TQ. Yes; they are heavy, probably right below 50# if not right at. I'll check tonight and give an exact weight if you are still interested........

The Performers are cast with large runners & small ports.
They are easy to open the port to a 340-360 port size, you only have to in about 3/4 of an inch.
I always port match a Performer when it's going on stock 340-360 intake ports.

A Performer would be a power loss compared to a stock 340 intake. Not worth the time or money to switch.
