How Much Does A Dakota Axle Weigh

I know it is perhaps a silly question, but I need to go to the local junk yard and pick up a rear end for a 93 Dodge Dakota. I do not have any help to retrieve it either. How much does a Dakota rear axle, minus the wheels and springs weigh? Should I be able to load it on a cart, and from the cart to the back of the truck by myself? Thanks!

That is a depends question. Are you in the 20s and strong as an ox or are you in your 70s with a heart condition? A strong 20 year old should be able to safely handle it one end at a time.
