I'm getting ready to finish spraying the Dart. All that remains is the outside of the car and the decklid. Jambs, engine bay, trunk, hood, and inside of deck lid are all complete. Do I have enough paint left? I have about 3 quarts of unreduced base that will be mixed at 2:1. My math says I can make 4.5 quarts of base. As for clear, I have somewhere between 2-3 quarts unreduced clear, also 2:1. So I should have somewhere between 3-4.5 quarts sprayable. Is that comfortable enough?

If the base coat provides good coverage and is not a translucent color you're probably OK. Buying another qt. would be expensive, compared to a gallon, but the last you
want to do is run out of material in the middle of a paint job. I would think that the clear should be good for 3-4 coats. You could buy an extra qt. of clear, and most likely could
return it if unused. Also make sure you have fresh catalyst and reducer.

I would get another quart of base. I would rather have it and use it. My last Dart i painted was light frost green and it took almost a full gallon to paint it, pre mixed.
