how much windage tray clearance

iv just come in from the garage after installing the milodin tray...its cold out there..anyway iv looked at all close points and dont know exactly how much clearance i need. the closest spot is rod bolts near the louvers for drainage..approximately 1/16 to 3/32 of an inch is that too close....any higher off the caps and it hits the oil pickup tube and or the oil pump body..any thots on this ...tx..j

Mine. Real tough to take picture of. We dinged two louvers for clearance.

I go for around .100" which is about twice what you have but that's more an opinion than based on any example of them hitting. IMO, it's a little close but until it's in and running it's hard to say.

Thank you all for the advice and help..im gonna pull it out and readjust it for a little more clearance....125 sounds a little better...j
