20 and counting cause I dont hunt lol. Pretty impressive beings that he is only five. Congrats on the kills!

Looks like it should make Boone and Crockett. Didn't have tree squirrels growing up on the prairies, but probably snared my first ground squirrel (gopher) with baling twine when I was about your son's age.

I was 12. Shot it from the street with a BB gun. Squirrel fell on the neighbors roof. I had to carry a step ladder almost 2 blocks and climb onto their house and remove it. Didn't get the gun back for a month.

Looks like a Ruger 10/.22 with a bull barrel. Bolt's locked open too, smart boy!

I was 6 with a Remington .410. when I got my first squirrel and 11 when I got by first Whitetail Buck with a Remington model 270 BDL- 30.06.

BTW I got three squirrel tails from last season swinging off Hester's (our '66 Valiant) antenna as we speak! 8)

I was 18 with a 1989 Mazda Pickup truck. Next was a cat with a 1990 Toyota pickup with a 6" lift and 33" tires, that cat flew so high out of the wheel well I did not know what it was.

16, My first car (75 duster). I was driving with a friend and the thing was sitting just off the road and at the last second it ran in front of me...but squirrels down here are way smaller than that womp rat, it's huge

Squirrels, natures little speed bumps

13 when I shot my first, I took its tail and tied it to my bike; got MY first 'tail' at 16 :-D

My kids and 7 and 4 and my wife wont let me take them hunting till their 13 (but I snuck a few mornings in the woods out in back of the house though ;) )

I guess he killed it just for the fun of killing it?

What's he gonna do with it now?

I was 7 or 8. And I used to make .25 cents a head for them from a family friend at his almond/walnut orchard. He'd buy me a brick of ammo and let me use his three wheeler also. I used my old single shot Ithaca .22 that looked like a lever action, that my Grandfather gave me. And yes the rifle was even kept in my room closet, and the ammo kept in my dresser.

I guess you've never had a squirrel eat the wires off of one of your cars! The squirrel was probably trying to put up an Obama sign in a tree! LOL

Nope. Never had a squirrel (or any other critter) eat the wires on one of my cars.

A mouse did run in to my building a year or two ago. Broke out the Crossman 760 and did him in.

Very nice kill. I was about 12 or 13 when I got my first Squirral with a BB gun. Got 14 so far this year. Dang things are every where this year. But I use the shotgun these days.

Tree rats!!!! I hate em. Killed my first one at about 12 with a Sears single shot bolt action 22. Dad showed me how to skin it and we parboiled it and then put in on the grill. Think I felt 10 ft tall. I've shot more than I can count because they won't stay out of my bird feeders. I pop em with a 177 air rifle because we live in a subdivision. Don't quite taste like chicken but they are good.

I was about 6 or 7 and my two sons killed there first ones with the same gun.
My uncle Robert and aunt Ragena let me borrow that old 410 just to say my boys got there first squirral with the same old shot gun, she past away just
a month ago and she was the one that took me out to get my first one.
The old shot gun had a bid gold star on the stock.
Nothing better then frying them up and making squirrel dumplings and squirrel gravy, it was the first non baby food my sons ever had.
