How to identify a 904 with 2.74 low gear

How can I tell if my 904 has the 2.74 low gear or not without tearing it down?? I read in a thread that all 904's from 1980 up had the low gear.
Is there a reference somewhere that I can get the numbers off the tranny to tell me what I need to know??

part number stamped on trans just above trans pan....will start with a PK

since the low 2.74 gearset can be installed in any 904 series trans,you really couldn`t know for sure without internal inspection,unless your trans has never been apart,then your PK number is relevant.
