HOW TO: ipod into hotrod without a radio

Or you could use this and when you are at a show or done using the iPod you can roll the cable up and tuck it back behind the dash.

This looks like it would work better than my RF FM transmitter type units because it has the unit that appears to be wrapped around / molded to your RF antenna cable route, which would ensure you could "pick up" your channel frequency on which you were transmitting your I-Pod / mp3 player.
I called these folks on the link. They are solid. It turns out the unit disassociated your antenna RF signal so that you will get no RF interference what so ever while playing your connected device.
Pretty awesome. I am buying one for my Dakota since it is just a factory CD / AM/ FM. It looks like a real simple hook up too.

USA made too!

The units I have seem weak in transmission strength and I am going to use as target practice with my flame thrower.

:coffee2:

"well i like this i have a ipod classic with 10626 songs on it thank u " You must have just gotten started?!? I have over 18,000 songs

Old thread but I'm glad this came back up.

How do you change the song or search for artists or playlists on your Ipod if it's hidden away?!?

mine has no country or rap

So, I dont guess i mentioned this but I bought the "rediscoverradio" unit.

Pretty much great for what it is. An analog 3 conductor = L / R, standard head phone plug into my I-phone which runs to a little box (midspan) to the antenna cable of my radio in my Dakota (infinity cd - radio). It disconnects the antenna from the antenna circuit when it detects audio from the input cable which eliminates static and bleed from other stations. Sound is quite good, probably equivalent to regular FM quality. I get a little feedback when charging my phone and running it (alternator hum). But the best quick option to adapt a mp3 or phone to your car radio in my opinion.

Cool thread. I wondered if this was possible. I have a radio delete plate in my car. This will work good
