Just to let others know

Roller lifters drop right in , No grinding

Can even remove them , for a cam swap
without pulling the head.

Our other engine has comp cam rollers
and had to clearance the block for them to fit.

Good to know. I like the Howards cams line, nice product & affordable.

What did you use for the Rockers, Pushrods and Valve springs? thank you!

I would have to pull the papers on the engines (2 yrs. ago)
here's what I remember right now

First engine is a 449 Indy W-2,
Smith brothers pushrods,
Howards Cam .650 lift

second engine
446 Airwolf heads
Manton pushrods
?? Cam .630 lift

Both pushrod companies are great,

Howards makes good stuff. Tanks that's good to know. Thinking of putting a roller in my 340. Do the oil bands come uncovered at full lift?

Any issue with the pushrod tunnels?
not really, used 11/32 pushrods, on the airwolf heads, put masking tape on the pushrods, for a clearance checker.
had 3 that I sand paper rolled(pushrod tunnels) for clearance.

on the time slip above...
times will get better..
finally got the car hooking, now to improve on the shift points, shifts to soon

What happened to the W-2 stuff. You looking to sell it?
It's chillin in the More door dart, waiting on the track to open, only way I would sell it is with the car > turn key> less than 100 miles on, engine and new dana....
airwolf engine was removed to put in a Cuda

Better look at the thread in the small block section. You can get burned by not checking. Nothing is fool proof.

Even if the lifter doesn't uncover the oil gallery, the bores should be bushed or the block tubed to control oil.
