I have one that I chopped up the mounts on to put a slant six on. Don't ask, it was just quicker and easier than finding a good k-member. I think the only major issue I saw was that the frame mounts don't have anything to really positively align them to the frame, and just use a bolt to bolt them down, with a washer. I guess it's probably for the best, because most frames aren't perfectly straight anyhow. There are no weight savings, but it is a nicer and more rigid design. I believe the mounts for a sway bar are made for the 73+ swaybar design, so that's a consideration.
