I ran a demolition derby last Fri, and I finally won. I was driving my 1975 Plymouth Gran Fury with a 360 in it. Last year I won my heat, this year, I ran my heat, ran a consi. then feature and won. Ive won $2100 so far with this car. It has 1 more run it and then I will strip the usable parts off and scrap it. Heres some pics

Nice! Congrads! Excellent! Good work!
Keep it up.

That sounds like it's fun as hell! LOL! I's like to drive that car to work someday, I garauntee ya' no one would cut me off.

Congratz on your winnings. My brother-inlaw does some demo derby racing and told me that the Chrysler Imperial is outlawed because it's too big and durable, is that the case where you race too?

Congratulations 72demon340.=D>
I have seen a few of these races and had some friends that did it too.
But seems like they had allot of fun but never won.
To even win one you must know how to build one and drive and think fast.
Making memories. :toothy8:
Glad to know a winner of a demolition race.

You should be very proud, and if you was here I would throw a big winners party for you and soak you down with some cheep booze.:eek:ccasion::drinkers:

They outlaw the Chrysler Imperial because of the 64-66 imps. They are full frame cars, the 67 to 74 Imps are unibody but the frames are VERY thick. The place I won your allowed Imperials, all others around here outlaw them. So what some people do is put a imp sub frame under a newport or newyorker then you basically have a Imperial. The guy that i beat for the win had a 74 Newyorker with a Imperial sub frame under it. I was able to push him out of bounce when you could n'yt get his car stopped in time from going backwards. BTW- That car in the back ground is a rust free 75 Newport driver, I paid $500 for it. It will be driven for a few years then used in derby.

I remember the County Mountie's driving them in some states :-k
(hwy state interceptors) . Tough Cars.

Wow . That is some smooth engine earing !!=D>

Congrats on the win, that is quite a feat from what I have seen from watching my friend. He used to be all Cadillac but has gone with Mopars and done well winning with Royal Monacos, and the big *** imperials and you are right. Those tanks are indestructable. Congrats once again!
