That's why im building 2 trucks. A daily driver and a tow pig. Drive the wheels off the /6 and save the miles off the tow pig for what it's being built for.. 2 trucks instead of 1, and still cheaper (and BETTER) any 1 new truck. Can't wait for that so I can send my '12 "no character" 1500 with its 4.7 down the road. In non salt season the /6 will gladly eat up the 70 mile a day round trip I have to drive to work and back.... And happily haul a bed load of mowers weed eater, leaf blower, gas cans and pressure sprayer filled with roundup back n forth to the mother in laws once a week...I'd probably do the same thing. It'll make towing much easier.
Neither a show truck, both show better (rust and dents wise) than many 10 yo trucks in the area without the 47 "control modules" and BS messages that anyone with a little common sense really doesn't need to have plastered in their face, ya know, the "K I S S" thing.
You don't need the newest shiniest truck to stand out. And mine won't depreciate near as quick as that 70K + truck will.
