A sibling at the time worked at Wherehouse Records and gave me a bunch of posters to decorate my apartment. I'm a Rod Stewart fan to some degree.

A college friend of mine at the time had a 396 Chevelle automatic. We had a grudge match at Fremont Raceway against my '63 Pontiac Grand Prix (had an aluminum intake on a 389). My Grand Prix (see photo) had posi-traction so I jumped ahead of the Chevelle at the start but he passed me by at the finish line. I tried to hold the 3-speed Roto-Hydramatic automatic in second gear but it shifted on its own into drive.
