Snake is most likely right but Ma Mopar did also use that casting # on the 70 T/A and AAR 340 heads. They are larger 2.02 valves with offset pushrods. Very rare and expensive heads. You'll be extremely lucky if what you have are them but I just thought I'd mention it.

Yeah, it depends on the intake valve size and pushrod hole placement. They could be O heads, too. But as originally said, most likely 72-ish 360 heads.
Get some pictures of the castings and the pushrod holes, and measure the intake valve and post the info here. You'll get better answers.

Don't remember about the offset pushrods but I know for a fact the intake valves were measured with a ruler at just over 2" and the exhaust was just shy of 2". I'm not crazy about pulling the covers and risking an oil leak but perhaps I have some good heads on it.

Yes those are very good heads. I have two sets of the "915"'s (J-heads) and a one set of "X" heads. All of which have the 2.02 valves. The ports are basically identical from these J head to the X heads. The only difference is a slightly smaller combustion chamber on the X heads to slightly raise the compression ratio. Even with that difference my J head engine is stronger than the X head engine (probably due to differences in things other than the heads!).
If you ever need to look at another set to compare any thing with yours I have a set sitting on a bench, just PM me and come on over.

Hey Tom, look at the heads by the spark plugs and see if you can spot a J,U,O, or X. If you dont see any of these then they might be a later style head. Since you know the part number then most likely they are decent heads. Greg

Due to the casting # they have to be 70-72 heads. In 1973 the casting # changed to 3671587 for 340/360 engines and these are the heads that have a U or O cast onto them if they have anything at all. They can't be X heads because the casting # on them is 2531894 and he already stated that the casting # is 3418915. Also note that most but not all heads have a letter cast onto them no matter what year they are.
