I was hoping someone could help me on figuring out what speedometer gear I need. I have 205/70 14 on the front, and 235/60 14 on the rear. All four rims are 14x7. The trans is a 904 and my rear is an 8 1/4 with 3.55's.

Thanks,

Mick

try and google mopar speedometer gears see what comes up,, i know there is a chart,, but not sure what book it is in,,

Mancini's has a chart in their catalogs .
Pretty sure can look it up online. Also year one's catalogs I believe.
Some of the catalogs are better than the old guides as they have some more modern tire sizes listed.

According to this tire size calculator http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecal.html your 235/60 x 14 has a diameter of about 25.1 in. Using the chart from moparts.org your tire size falls right in the middle between the 24 and 26. Using a 3.55 rear end the closest is gonna be a 37 or 38 tooth gear. Neither is gonna be dean on accurate - one will read a little slower than what your actual speed is and the other a little faster. Don't remember which one is which. Hope this helps

This should get you close......
235/60R14 = 25.1 dia & 3:55 gears 37 tooth ( I think it's white)
