IHRA team finals left in a bit of a disarray last weekend.

Went to the Team finals at Xtreme Raceway Park south of Dallas this past weekend. I noticed that IHRA did not have much of a a presence there. Went to buy a t-shirt and maybe a ball cap, all they were selling at the trailer was IRHA memberships.
Then I noticed that it was NOT an IHRA crew running the race. Everyone on the ground was an employee of the local track. Things seemed to be running fairly smoothly as far as I could tell, way behind schedule on Saturday, other than that the local guys were doing a good job.

NHRA bracket finals has been that way the last several years. They bring in a few NHRA officials, but the track prep, and such is all done by the local track people. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes not, depending on which track the even is hosted at.
