Pretty bird. I had an African Gray a few years ago, but he finally passed away(R.I.P. 12 years old) we dont know why he went so young, he was healthy.

sorry to hear about your bird, the one in the picture got some kind of infection a while back. vet did not think he was going to survive. we had to keep him in the bathroom and several times a day run a scalding hot shower, for the steam and humidity. but he survived and is as mean as ever. i believe he is about 14, his name is Ra. we have another grey, he is about 3, name is Cheeto. Tough to watch tv when they are in the mood to be rowdy, they drown out the tv, you turn it up, they get louder. They are like sponges, every noise they hear they mimic. right now they are yelling get him Momma, it is what I say when the queensland starts barking in the house. there has been several days that i have had to go outside so i can enjoy my coffee. worse thing you do when they are rowdy is laugh at them, just makes them worse. ernestina (my wife) hates some of the stuff they picked up...i got gas, i got to take a dump, who farted and what the f..k....to name a few...lol and what one of them is doing now, squealing, like ned beaty did in deliverance.........

i know i am not a dog, but i bark like one.

I can bark too, but mostly I just say "Hello Sweet Pea" because that's my name, well minus the hello. Mommy and Daddy rescued me last year on 9/11 and I am 9 years old. Daddy calls me his little puppy because I act like one and loved to be snuggled, and will play fetch with my toys. He is also teaching me to say "Pretty Girl".
Oh yeah, I love bath time.

And by the sounds of your grey, they have the same vocabulary mine did lol. Except having an insane mother(Not kidding:angry7 it said more vulgarities than I can even think of now.....And the louder you get, the louder it got....But he was a cool bird.

my wife is trying to teach them spanish, they have picked up a few things...it is amazing what they can pick up. they are both barking as i am typing this.

Hi. My name is Diana Caroline but my family calls me Puppa. My Mom rescued me from the scary bad place (pound) after she found out my former owners dumped me cause I got in trouble (preggers.) I had my babies at the scary bad place but they didn't let me get to see them. They took them from me and made them go to sleep. I was very sad and confused and scared but then Mom found me. Now I have a safe and cozy place and a family with lots of big sisters (dogs.) I'm not the boss yet, but everyone knows one day I will be cause Dad says I'm full of hate and voodoo. He says that it's because I'm Mom's dog and it must have rubbed off. Whatever that means. I only get angry when new people come to our house. Mostly man-types that come here to fix stuff, like windows or air conditioning. Most men scare me so I feel I must chomp them.

Thanks. They are all rescues except the beagle. I am always shocked at how some folks toss animals out like trash.

Yea thats some sickening stuff IMO. I dont support PETA and their actions, but come on, you needa get an elbow to the face a couple times if you abuse/toss animals. DAMN YOU MIKE VIC! lol

Here's Smitty my longhaired Dachshund. I never thought I'd have a small dog, I wanted a large dog, and the now ex-wife wanted a small dog.... guess who won out. I got rid of her, but now have him because she didn't want the responsibility. I'm more happy with him then her :-D
