I just had to vent to someone. I went down to my local parts store to get some open end lugnuts. I needed to install my Weld wheels on my Dart. First off they cost me $80.00 for all 4-wheels. Out of the 4-pkg, I had at least one defective lugnut, my 13/16 socket would not fit. After 2 more pkgs, i finally got enough to fit! My parts store took care of me. This brings me to my point, I thought when this stuff was outsourced it would be cheaper & as good as American quaility! I guess the chinese missed this point. The brand was Mr. Gasket, I bought the same part numbers back in the 80's with out any defects. Oh well.

This really does suck. I would like to put all American parts on my BA American Muscle Car. But even classic American companies are having things made elsewear, Champion sparkplugs are made in Mexico. I now use NGK, although a Japanese company they do have an American division; and the quality is much better. It hard to buy American sometimes, when the fact is alot of these companies have sold us out. I had to join the rant. Peace

i fully understand what you guys say even if i live in sweden, where i work we had to scrap rougly a 100 lugnuts from mr gasket this winter beacause of them being machined wrong....
i have also seen alternator brackets from flowtech that says made in usa printed on the cardbord they are atached to that also has made in mexico stamped on the plastic they are packaged in...., this is pretty scary....
