Mr. Wildcat failed to mention something. Mr. and Mrs. Wildcat
were awarded a Best in Class Award with their 1967 Dodge Dart Convertible.

Way to go guys!

They also won the Outstanding Custom Award today!!!!!!!

I never tire of looking at their Dart.

More pics of The Indy Mopar Club Display.

The Club Display won Top Honors for the layout. The Theme this year was the
Grand Opening of the Indy Mopar Performance Center. Note the time on the clock. Mr. Wildcat said it
must be 5:00 somewhere.

Thanks Tony for posting more pics and the compliment on our car.

The club is trying to make it FUN to be in the club and anyone in the Indy area that wants to join in contact us.

There were several members who didn't have their car in the show but where there to help set up and tear down the display

I have some more pics to download to computer and post. There were some very nice Mopars there.

We must have done a good job on making the Speed shop display. Had people wanting to apply for a job and what type work and how busy we were.

This was just a display, but a lot of FUN, maybe we could open a speed shop

Tony's car could have been in the running for the Hoosier Award, a 1st time shown car and the owner is from Indiana. I made the same mistake he did in filling out my application for the Dart when I showed it 1st.

The pictures of Tony's car are nice but do not do the car justice.

That is one slick BLACK car, something hard to do.

Thanks for posting pics of the real car show this weekend.

Th KC show was very sad....only 5 mopars total.

That's right 5....not only that, we saw it all in 1.5 hours....that's it.

1 super stocker 65 dart
1 black charger...you've seen it in the magazines black with red interior.
1 73 charger....hoopty car with 30" wheels
1 60's chrysler custom
1 2011 charger.

Maybe I missed something but it seems like holding the same show in 2 city's on the same weekend is a bad idea...no vendors...no nothing

There was one high end car that i saw and no big rig displays.....even the FONZ said ayyyyyyyyy FO KC.

That's OK...I'll see him in Monticello, IA in 2 weeks

PS

THAT IS THE SWEETEST DISPLAY I HAVE EVER SEEN AT A CAR SHOW INCLUDING GOODGUYS AND WOW.....NICE JOB BOYS!:notworth:

OH...

One more thing.

CONGRATS to all of you on your great showing and your awards. Your cars and your display were one of a kind and should be a benchmark for all to follow.

Wow guys great job on the show and beautiful cars! Well Done!:thumblef: The problem with our WOW show in Winnipeg in March is the weather. Its too risky some years, because you never know if its going to be snow and slush or dry. Unless you have a covered trailer makes it hard to get the cars to the show. We do get a lot of cars, but again they have the trailers to bring them in. Oh man I want summer!

several of the members in the club offer to haul cars to the show. I have in the past hauled all day long getting cars to the show. then they got to get home.

Move in day was one of the coldest days of the year. It was sub 0 at day break, by move in start at 9 am it might have been 10

But the roads were dry, move out it had been above freezing for the whole weekend and it might as well been raining as wet as the roads were. Seen a guy wrap his best paint on a driver with plastic for the trip home on an open trailer. Hope he is good at buffing out the marks that will leave.

The shows overlap from time to time. Indy use to be the same as Chicago. 3 hours apart

For the ISCA show curcuit cars they MUST attend so many shows and of different class size shows. That way they get the nice show cars to more of the small shows or those guys just would not go to them.

In 1999/2000 show season I showed my Prowler on the curcuit enough to get the points champion for exotic sports. Think I had to do a minumun of 4 shows to collect points and so many of different classes, (class 5 Louisville, KY class 3or 4 Indy class 1 Dayton & South Bend)

Here are some are Mopars at the show

That Duster is a great looking car. I don't have anymore pics of it.

Maybe Wildcat does. I know that 408 has a six pack sitting on top of it!

One more thing

Last Thursday morning I drove the 'Cuda from Columbus up to
Indy for the show. Like Wildcat said in a previous post, the temps
were right at 0 F. It took 25-30 miles for my car to get up to 150 degrees.

Stopped in Greenwood to get a squirt of fuel. Got back on the road
and the temp only got up to 140 F. Thermostat must have opened.

We set this car up to run very cool
in high summer temps. I froze my arse off making the drive up. When we
got to the Fairgrounds we couldn't make a left turn to get in. (City law
during rush hour) Had to drive thru a neighborhood to get turned around
so we could enter. The streets had not been plowed since the last big snow.

They were solid ice and humped up in the middle. The pipes were
scraping the ice.

Didn't mind the drive.....hadn't done a road trip lately.....but I don't
wanna do that again......scary on the ice...one lane with vehicles
on both sides.

I don't have many but here is what I have.

Mike's car is top notch and the last time at WOW he recieved 4 awards with it. I was shocked I got the special award and not Mike. His car is much better detailed than mine.

He has a great wife too, she bought the 6 pak set up for his birthday a few years ago. He had a 71 Duster back in the mid 70's that had a 340 with 6 pak, so this is the replacement for that car.

These were taken last summer at one of the club shows
