Install carpet or door weatherstrip first?

I forgot how it came apart. Should I install the new carpet or the door weatherstrip first?

And should I trim the width of the carpet to fit just inside the pinch weld?

The order they go together shouldn't matter and yes, I believe you trim the carpet at the top of the pinchweld which then gets covered by the sill plate.

when i pulled the carpet out of my car the carpet went over the pinch weld and was trimmed on the outside edge.
