I just bought a coilover set up for my big block '70 Dart so I installed the 1" torsion bars I had for it in my small block Dart. What a difference! The car had .870" bars with a '73 spool mount K-frame and factory sway bar. I was unhappy with the amount of lean under hard cornering and was considering upgrading a 1 1/8 hollow hellwig sway bar. Well the 1" bars are the ticket. Corners much flatter and has a nice ride too. Now to upgrade the shocks to some QA1 adjustables.

Instead of the QA1 shocks, bolt in some Bilstiens and there you go. Any question/concerns talk with autoxcuda on the setup hes using.

Yeah I have seen his posts. He is quite helpful and knows his ****. I bought these bars because they were cheap! I think they cost me $120 new off eBay. My car is sbp with 10" drums and 14x6 - 14x7 slot mags so there is only so much improvement I am going to get. I like the traditional look though.

Bilsteins are $400 for a full set of four shock. QA1's are much more expensive.

It will corner even flatter with that 1 1/8 hellwig sway bar and 1" T-bars. I ran that setup for a while with a rear sway bar.

Nice score on the 1" T-bars for $120 !
