Instrument Panel Question

I picked up this panel to rework for my 72 Dart but I don't know what the extra hole next to the light switch is for. Can anyone help?

Check engine or seat belt I believe

Seat belt is the one next to the speedometer. I didn't think that cars this early had a check engine light?

I just sold one from a 74 Valiant that had one, I think that is what it said, at least someting along those lines.

I just checked the pics of it it said catalyst and below it it said check egr

That hole I think ut was for EGR or emission issues. Used on later A-bodies (maybe mid '73 on)

It really isn't correct for my 72 but I may find a way to hide the hole. The main reason I like the bezel is the light and wiper indicators that light up.
