Good evening everyone,
I have a 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger with the 225 in it. This thing was a perfect "project car" when my husband and I bought it. We bought it very cheap and it passed smog. Since owning this car, we have rebulit the engine. Had to go 40 over on the pistons and 10 under on the crank, this car has cost us a pretty penny to get it back on the road. It passed smog and all was well. or so we thought. We had a major vacuum leak, and the exhaust manifold was cracked in between 3 and 4. I bought a new exhaust manifold, but cannot find the intake to save my life! I sent the intake to a local machine shop and they assured me that I didn't have to do anything to the exhaust manifold. Now, after trying to bolt the 2 together, it doesn't line up on one side! I'm at my wits end and I don't want to get rid of it I love this car!!!! I need to know if anyone out there knows of any tricks or where I can find an untouched intake manifold? I need to get this car on the road, Hot August Nights is coming up and my 06 silverado is killing me in gas! Please help!
