I'm going to be swapping my 360 with anywhere from 350-400HP into my 73 dart pretty soon and i'm starting to wonder if I have to upgrade the cooling system. The car has a stock 318 in it, but it has A/C so I'm pretty sure it has a better cooling system, the car runs pretty cool as it is so everything works well.

Is the radiator in an A/C car better? or did I hear this wrong? and I still have the fan shroud for it and I've heard that helps with cooling.

Would the stock cooling system be enough? Or should I upgrade to a new radiator that cools better.

I'm running a 322 with approx. 375 HP. The rad is a stock '65 22 inch A/C-High Altitude 3 core unit with the factory steel shroud and 7 blade fan. Runs 180-185 and never varies. I agree you'll be fine if your rad is in good shape.

Generally, 318 cars with a/c got "Max Cooling." Thid was 26" radiator. You should be fine as long as the radiator is in good shape.

Yeah I think its the 26 inch radiator, I had to take it out once to replace some parts. It works just fine, the temp gauge always stays on the cool side, so with the bigger 360 It would get a bit warmer but still be in the safe range.

With a 360HP and A/C rad no prob.
Had a few and only 22" rads, triple core with a shroud, shroud is the important thing here. Or keep going fast...get that air through the grill :)
