well I got rear ended June 23 while sitting at a stop sign in my 2003 Chevy Malibu that I bought from my moms estate when she died in 2009. I had my head turned to the left waiting for a car and motorcycle to pass and I’m not sure what she was looking at but smashed into the back of me with her GMC 4 wheel drive. My car totaled hers scratched. Instant headaches for me, two cat scans, 4 weeks of therapy, blurred vision. I missed 11 races so far but I’m finally coming around so I may head to Quaker City Saturday and try to make my come back. I Missed over 70,000.00 worth of purses doing that time with some more nice ones coming up. Fingers crossed for no headaches over the weekend

Could you sue for lost racing wages? That would be a good lawyer....looking at your past racing records and wage earnings.....? My friends daughter got injured and it scarred her chin. She was a published teen model and varsity goal keeper and got 6 figures from a settlement of the party that caused the situation. I cant even remember what happened, I think it was a wet floor slip and fall. It was based on lost contracts from the scarring.

If they looked at my past winnings over the last 44 years they would probably feel sorry for me and open a “Go Fund Me” account for me. Lol

I was hit in the rearend by a semi in Feb 91. Months later went to a chiropractor first adjustment headaches gone.

This September it will have been two years ago that I was "T-boned" by a mail truck that was coming out of a parking lot. Most of the impact was on the right rear of my truck. MRIs, several months of PT, a ruined, long planned trip to Cocoa Beach, being told that surgery will only help, (ain't going there) my neck "clicks" so loud, people near by can hear it. A lot of Tylenol days, limited movement of my head to the left (Riding my motorcycle is more of a challenge) and the shoulder is not very dependable. My lawyer has done all that can be done, because suing the government (USPS) is next near impossible. I feel your pain...it has cost me a lot of money and grief. Hope you get to race.

Man, hope you feel better! Good luck!

Thanks guys. A beautiful day changed pretty quickly. My Son and I dug up a drainage pipe in the yard that was causing an issue with our heavy rains and my Son suggested that I run to Lowes and get the needed pipe so we could fix it and bury it before more rain moved in. LOL the job still isn't finished. I think I've walked through my shop 3 times since June 23 and haven't touched one single project. I'm going to try to start my 2-3 mile Riverwalks next week to get moving.

Sounds like you're doing better. It takes a while to heal. Then get after it.

Gotcha on the neck clicks, mine doesn`t crack loud enough for others to hear it much any more, but a chryopracter couldn`t believe how it sounded in his stethoscope .

I hear you guys on the cracking but I beat my body up pretty good working 33 years as a Millwright in a steel mill. My day started out back when I tried to put my truck in 4 wheel drive to get my loaded trailer up out of my crazy driveway. The linkage must have disconnected and is just floating freely. I spun gravel the whole way up, parked, and called my transmission buddy to see if I would screw anything up towing 180 miles round trip. He said if it’s in two wheel drive I was safe to go so I got here safely. I’m a one man team today and ready to go.

First of all... There are no good lawyers.
Second... He's gonna take 40 percent.

Glad you are healing up and back at it.
Good luck in round 2!

Round two I added .005 to my box and 3rd round I missed it so I dumped and fed a 4.99 dragster the finish line hoping he would run under but he didn’t. Time to start my 2-3 mile walks again. The heat beat me up.

2 outta 3 ain't bad lol. Continued success and healing.

Well I finished up Therapy yesterday and say my family Doctor today and he’s about positive I suffered a concussion in my wreck. That kinda explains the headaches, blurred vision, and being scrambled brained at times. He said I may still get an occasional headache but to continue doing my home therapy and warned me not to get another one. He said it may not be as easy to bounce back from.
