It's finally happened

-
In the 1990's a druggie family with several kids was in Orange Country, CA living out of their station wagon. While the parents were sleeping or passed out, a big forest rat that lived under the back seat chewed off the baby's hand. They had taken the rat in as a "pet" while living in a campground in the SoCal mountains. I saw similar families all the time in OC, begging for "food" on street corners with their little tow-haired kids beside them for sympathy.

What irks me is when newspapers fault property owners for infestations of insects and rodents in their rentals. Who feeds the critters?

I can't believe I'm even reading this ****.
Why would you even work on a hot mess like these.
I wouldn't let them on the property let alone in my shop.
I can't imagine needing money bad enough to work on
or with subhuman beings that probibly can't pay after the fact.
I can send an idiot packing in a heartbeat, if nothing else I'd
have the sheriff escort them to the street.
My health, home and well being are worth more to me than the few bucks
that the bugs, trash and scum these dirtballs live in could drag into my life.

Back in my apprentice days, we had a K-car wagon nicknamed `stinky', which the techs made me drive in and out for them when it came in for work. The owner was a smoker, and you could tell he was a righty, because on the middle of the front floor about 3 inches in front of the seat was a perfect pyramid of cigarette ashes about 6 inches high - quite amazing really.

I was a service writer at a Freightliner dealership and repair shop for two years..... you have noooooo idea of what nasty is until you see what the lease OTR drivers do to these trucks they sit and live in weeks at a time....
I refused trucks left and right.... "Truck detail is that'away buddy" get it clean and we will work in it..... pissed off a lot of drivers, but when we called in the lease company owners and explained why we wouldnt work on their trucks.... well... they got cleaned...... sooooo picture all the nasty crap that ya all listed above... and put it all in cab of a truck.... well i dont think there was any body parts...... but lots of human waste, and everything else.... bleah... some people just gross me the hell out.

The funny thing... the owner operators... the ones that pay each day for the truck... keep them sparkling clean..... go figure huh ?

This is why I left Verizon after only six months and went back to aviation. I was not prepared for the way people live. There were houses I'd go to for a trouble call and if I wasn't stepping over piles of dog crap, it was dirty diapers that were dropped where they were changed. There were times when the smell would be so bad, I'd call dispatch and refuse the call.

It has to be a form of mental illness. That's the only explanation I have.

We had a Uhaul truck towed into our shop one day from the police impound, smelled terrible so we got a little history on the truck. Turns out that the customer who rented the truck decided to blow his brains out while sitting in the cab.Normally some thing like this would get cleaned up before we got it but not this one, it had brain matter and blood all over the cab. We ended up putting on masks and full suits and gloves and just gutted the whole interior. worst thing I ever seen come in.

Thats why I became a splicer!! Manholes are much cleaner..LOL They would even clean them before we did anything. We had a repairman we called Pigpen, he got all those jobs. He was one nasty dude.

back in the late '80s I worked in a store and the manager of our branch about an hour away had his new truck stolen.
It was stolen probably in the beginning of June, and in about late September the police called him and told him they'd found it hidden in some bushes somewhere. It had sat for the entire summer with the body of one of the thieves in it (apparently, the other one blew this one's head off) with the windows closed.

...they said he really, really didn't want his truck back.

I had to clean a van the same year. I have washed the carpets 3 time, still stained. Mystery goop and food everywhere. The car smells like death. I cant imagine what the house that these people live in look like.

Wife used to deal with a lot of otr drivers in the Post Office. Most of them she would not get within 10 feet of.

I see dirty/smelly cars come into the shop everyday, but not THAT bad. I can't see how people can live like that.

My brothers car looks like a war zone..got it for him about 4 years ago, look close to new, now its disgusting , hasn't been vacuum who knows when, all sorts of junk inside, seats and carpet all stain...I told him to clean a few times, never happen.

Funny thing is the outside he keeps clean, car washes weekly

They let their pets run wild, cats on the kitchen table, place smells like cat piss

Food left out for days, food on the floor

Mental illness and or drugs, if they are feeling "good" all is good to them..

I'm not no clean freak but to those type of people I am. How can people breathe..of course they get sick a few times every year and cough weekly-if not daily

A neighbor we had, had so many roaches that they shorted out the wiring in the electric stove. The two-twenty blew the coils up in the air, and the oven door blew right off. Roaches were flying everywhere. I can think of a bunch of gross stories and the people(?)who go with them. Here is another for your reading pleasure. My brother in law worked at a large apartment complex. He had to go in one where two really fat slobs lived. They had a chair in the shower so they could sit and eat. Well he needed to fix the living room blinds so he moved the couch out of the way. Under the couch was a half eaten pizza. The lady says they were wondering where it went to, and that they had been looking for it for a couple of weeks. While he fixed the blinds they sat down on the couch and finished it. So not only do these people live in these messes, they eat them.

My wife insists on watching Hoarders on A&E every Monday night. I just sat through an episode a couple of hours ago. Before I saw that show, I would have found this thread unbelievable. People just amaze me.

The van is still sitting out on the lot. Right where the tow truck left it. The lady has an aftermarket warranty plan that we deal with. They called this morning and asked what the status of the repair was. I told them that the car was a hazmat case, we wasn't touching it. The lady called back raising all kinds of hell. Said we shouldn't have told the warranty company that the car was a bio hazard. Any way, I told her the car could stay 2 more days then it's $12 a day storage. I do feel for the poor sucker that gets this POS, and you know somebody will climb in it and fix it.

I work on fire trucks, and I can tell ya whether Its a paid department or vollies,...I've seen housewives station wagons that were cleaner than some paid department trucks,...they're excuse???,...Its not there job and they don't own em,...I'd have someones *** if any of my trucks stayed that filthy,...I can take alot,...after 5 years of phone work in da bronx, I'm pretty jaded, but some folks just make ya shake yer head,...

Hey gunny, didja give pajama girl a bag big enough for the whole van???

This is pretty amusing guys, keep it coming please. Is it sick that I love reading about how F%#!@d up people are?

And I'd love to know how the BS on this van turns out. I bet she'll just leave the thing untill you scrap it.

at honda we had a red 03 accord that came in every so often. I just started, i have a weak stomach and every one knows it. SO the car comes in my writer gives me the ticket and i see him go into the service managers office and start to watch me walk out to the car(it was in the drive through) so i get in sit down and after about 5 sec it hit me. First off the car was an absolute disgrace old moldy food all over, nasty bloody tissues and the worst was the lady has bottles filled with PISS! no bullS***! the smell was downright wrong. i got out of the car looked over at my boss and writer and they were cracking up. Next thing i know im' leaning over a trash can throwing up. I refused to work on the car and got written up for it!

Someone showed up yesterday and started to clean the van out.
Not sure how long they were there, but that person never came in and said anything. so as of now, the car sits.
