AKA not quite as ugly as "High 'n Mighty" but close. This is the damndest story I've ever heard. According to the story, this car was driven by anybody that was every anybody, and won everything in sight darn near

Amazing really.
Built back when America was indeed great.
.......And when real men used their minds and skills and did so without computers. One other great example is the Lockheed Blackbird. Designed in the slide rule era, completely inspired and radical from nose to tail, and unsurpassed even today

Agreed! There is one in the SAC museum in Omaha. Worth the trip.

Had one of the last flights pass over me on my honeymoon in Tahoe, BOOM! WTH was that....SR71 made the news that night. There are a few statics at Edwards. Did you know the North Koreans actually hit an SR71 with missile? A small fragment hole was found in one after a mission over NK. Only time it was ever scratched by a foe.

I got to see, amoung many other AC that "I wish" I now had photos of.........at least 2 Blackbirds and a U2 come and go over the 4 years I was at NAS Miramar.. blackbirds have a VERY visually entrancing flame pattern into the sunset from the engines. "Stand off" patterns This photo I found does not truly illustrate
