Jeeps To Be Made In China...

In the last 31 years, I have owned 4 Grand Cherokees and currently a Gladiator truck. They have been amazingly dependable for me. Hundreds of thousands of miles and only two total trips to the dealer for a repair. Both times the total was under $350. Once it was a turn signal switch (I didn't want to screw with the air bag) and the second time it was a throttle position sensor. Other than that, it was only brake jobs and a few other minor things I took care of. I have to say that the vehicles were great for me.
Glad they've been good for you. The newer grand Cherokee look nice. But in my opinion American vehicles are mostly trash.

My Italian built 2015 Jeep Renegade has been one of the better vehicles I've owned.

126,500 and no major repairs.

More power to weight than a 318 Duster and 34 MPG average.

Only one false warning light- which is better than my BIL wife's honda that has every warning light on the dash lit up and flashing at 140,000.

Jeep along with the rest of the Mopar line-up including Rams haven't been own by an AMERICAN company in a longggggg.. time I laugh my *** off every time they show that Jeep commercial refering to it as an American oringinal     ..I wouldn't buy any of the **** they've made in 40 years!!!!

Then what do you drive? As Toyota, Honda, Nissan,Volvo, Chevy,Ford, Dodge are all built here. The first four may not be owned by a American car company but never the less they are still built here. Your options are few.

I own zero American vehicles newer than 1969. I drive European cars and old Mopars. I'd drive Japanese engineered cars also I just don't have any.

Chrysler has been known for quality issues for the past 40+ years. A couple that comes to mind is their electrical issues, transmission problems. When I traded in my 1998 ram pickup in 2003 the dealership really didn't want it because of Chrysler products being known for junk transmissions.

And the frontends falling apart in the early Rams:wtf::wtf:

Everyone had bad transmissions 1998-2005.

Everyone.

Unfortunately, transmission issues, wiring harness problems. Last time I checked Chrysler was on the bottom of the last as far as being reliable. You would think that they would want to improve their sales with better quality. Ford still holds the top spot in truck sales

Well I cannot even come close to saying that about our 2004 Ford Escape. It has been the dead BEST vehicle we have ever owned hands down. It has over 202,000 miles on it now and runs as good as it did when it was new. We did have to have the transmission built at around 165K, but my friends did all the updates to it and it's been great. Well worth it. I'd buy another one, but they don't make them like this anymore.

My brother in laws ford focus had over 400,000 miles on it before it quit and he's hard on vehicles

Like I posted earlier, I wasn't too keen on the wife's Envision being built in China. We had hail a few weeks ago and her car dot pummeled. Way more damage than other cars in the same lot. Thin Chinese sheet metal? I believe that to be true.

It books for around $16,000. The damage estimate was $22,050

My uncle had one of these, he transplanted a ford 300 six in it, was a great mountain rig, had allot of fun with him and dad 4 wheeling.
