Well ,my wife LET me buy another Duster, this one is the 10th one of my collection. It's a 1971 EV2, buckets, /6 3 speed car that had a dictaphone. I am going to make it a 340 4 speed car for Michelle(thus why I was allowed to buy it).
Question:
Should I go with a 340 4 speed or maybe a 360 or a stroker with a 5 speed.
I kinda like to be a purist but seeing as it not a #'s matching car, does it really matter????
The hood has the holes in the innner structure for scoops and the trunk lid has the access for a Go Wing.
Should I go nuts and throw everything at it or keep it kind of tame?
All and any comments & opinions are welcome.
Thanks

Tame the first go around, if the bug bites Michelle, then see if she'll get her hands dirty with you.

Remember, don't yell at her! She's just learning.

340-4spd- see how see likes it.

What,ya do to the other NINE ??????

I only have one complete '71 340 #'s car, the rest are:

2- 1972 340 4 speed duster parts cars ( not much left)
2- 1970 /6 dusters (one is on my rotisserre) and one is the doner body for my 71 340 duster
1- 1973 space duster (parts)
1 -1974 360 Duster (parts)
1- 1974 Dart Sport 4 speed ( parts)
1- 1972 340 Demon 4 speed 8 3/4 roller(project)

I'd go with a 360 and 5spd. If it's for her most likely it's more important for creature comforts and looks. I'm assuming of course that's what would be liked. But if I'm wrong I apologize now. Or you could always do that odd thing and ask her what are the minimum things that she wants and go up from there.

YeaH 64dartwagon, I think she'd prefer to have driveability over originality(even thought it would be a re-creation),but I guess it boils down to how much cash we put into it.
I sure like the looks of ryan426's Duster. I think I'm gonna do it up like that???
