Now the proud owner of a B body. I didn't know a B from an A before. So the first question is who are the good parts suppliers? I need good interior suppliers first.

OH one other item. Can someone direct me to a vin identification ? I need to check a few things. I"m good so far on the R/T validation but I'm curious how many were bench seat vs buckets

ahhh Thank you! outside interior who has fenders and quarters etc?? With Fords and Chebbies I had 10 suppliers to pick from...... nothing here????

Well you seem to post some pretty vauge stuff, so I dunno what yer looking for for answers. So I will ask you some questions
1. What B body
2 What year
3 Fiberglass or steel fenders
4 Maybe chk out our "vendors" forum
5 Bench vs buckets...doubt you will find that info...but call Galen Govier

there is AMD, YEAR ONE, PADDOCK, LEGENDARY , and lots of other vendors but most deal only with specific b bodies.you dont say whether it is charger, coronet, road runner/satellite or the most important detail, the year.there are 4 generations of charger B bodies and 3 generations of coronets and 4 generations of plymouth B bodies and most of these body parts are not reproduced but most interior pieces like, seat covers ,carpet and door panels are . what are you working on bro?

I posted vague stuff because I assume you know your cars and Mopar suppliers would want to garner as much business as possible from some if not all classics from 65 to 70. It was a simple request for parts suppliers. I ask for the top three. If there is a top three that is dedicated to Mopars it should be easy for you to figure out. I didnt ask you to do my shopping for me.

With that said I was attempting to be polite......

So for what it's worth I have a 67 Dodge R/T 440 car with the fold down seat.

Thank you 73A for the polite answer!!!!! I've bought from Year One...didnt realize they were a supplier for Mopar. I restored a 65 Malibu SS and they gave pretty good service..I checked the Legendary and they look like they could help on the interior as mentioned by Duster. Thanks!
My car is a
1967
Dodge
Coronet R/T
440 ci
Fold down seat (buddy seat) that someone else mentioned. I think in the Mopar world it may have another term... but you may get the gest of it. No console and I have the column shift w/o a tach or console. She's a YY1 color with black vynal top.
I'm looking forward to pulling the 440 and getting to business I hope to build out a 550hp power plant.

My all time favorite car is a 67 GTX and this was a good Mopar fix for me.

4spdragtop is very correct in asking to be more specific because vendors are specific and most often dont cater to all b-bodies in one sitting.wow you really are new to this......you should probably be asking the folks over at the B BODIES ONLY FORUM -BBOF if you ask questions that people want to answer to help you out with ,you HAVE to be more specific or you are going to end up with something that doesnt fit your application, or with misleading information .and yes im trying to be polite about it.

Hey, being vague and assuming will get ya the same response if any at all. This is a forum for mopar fans in general, but mostly A body guys/gals to help each other out in any and all ways possible. Yes there are vendors on here as well, but for the most part they dont look on here to recruit business, they sometimes advertise on here and will chime in with some advice and sometimes promote their products/deals, but that is why there is a vendors forum. Check out what vendors we have here. Sorry for the smart-assed response, but seeing as how you have a B body car, would you want 67 Satellite fenders, or 69 Road runner tail lights and bench seat?? Be specific and not vague if you want some decent responses. For parts both original and repro, call Nigel at National Moparts. His phone # is 705 426 2993. I would assume your 67 Dodge R/T is a Coronet?? Nice car I had a 67 Coronet 440 model.
By the way welcome aboard to the best mopar site on the net!!

Well being around a bit I assume that most of the task is up to me for the shopping portion of the process. I get to the point first "who are the best suppliers".
Once I've exhausted my research then I would call on you guys for the "details" if I cant figure it out. I try not to waste your time with useless detail for simple searches and only call out for help if I have to have it.
But I appreciate the follow up so with that said my car is a 67 Coronet R/T car with a factory 440. She has a decent body but my concern was that these came with standard buckets and console and mine has the bench/bucket (think you guys have a different term for it) with the fold down. Seems only 1000 or so had this so I'm expecting the "gotcha" upcharge for the seat being different. Thanks for the recommendation...I'll give them a shout.

I've been dealing with cars for 20 years and this is MY FIRST MOPAR and I'm really excited about it. the R/T and GTX have always been in my top 5 cars to own.:blob:

So yours has the split bench seat? And are you looking to having it recovered?? I cant see you paying much more if any for having a split bench vs buckets recovered. Maybe a bit more in material....maybe, but I cant see it being drastically higher. Legendary, Year One or even a local upsholstery shop should be able to do a top notch job.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the above mentioned suppliers. Looks like the fold down seat option is not available from the suppliers. At least I know what I'm getting into now.
Btw... 67 R/T with column shift and fold down "buddy seat" set up. 440 car with the torqueflight and 2.93(i think) gears.

Yeah, I agree the option will send me to an upholstery shop. I checked the Legendary and the YearOne whom I used to restore a 65 SS. Neither had the fold down seat. We have a guy that belongs to our club but I don't trust him. I had a 67 stang that needed a fender painted. He has the car, two weeks to evaluate it. the price was three times his quoted price. His reason?? His painter took longer than he expected to paint it! LOL.... either I can use that to bargain or as a lesson. 4 years later I've chosen to consider it a lesson. So I'll venture out and see some others and choose one.

In your initial post you stated "proud owner of a B body".

Go here: http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/

Yeah good point which raises a question. First when I signed up I somehow could only get into this "Abody"site. When I enter my name and password for "B" body, it comes up as invalid. So I enter the request to send my name and password back to check my entry, it ask for my email. Then another message says my email is not recognized. :banghead:
So do I need to register for each of the classes of forums? Right now you are the only guys I can talk to. I've sent my request to admin but no solution yet. When I try to set up a new registration it says the name and email are already in use.:banghead:
