just suspension torsion bars work with firm feel boots?

simple question:
do you think torsion bars from just suspension will work with the boots and clips from firm feel..
trying to save $40 by not buying just suspensions boots....

The critical dimension is slipping it over the hex head. That is the same size for all A-body torsion bars. I tried to do that with the bar hanging in the car and gave up. I could only get it on with the bar out and pushing down on the boot. I first slid the boot onto a socket slightly larger than the hex and used soap and water.

If you don't mind the different look, consider the polyurethane boots from PST. In fact, I went with red so everybody knows I went upscale. I recall you can get for ~$10, sometimes at speed shops, but can find on ebay. The poly softens in the microwave, but in 10 sec I over-heated one and melted a bit in the thin sides. Maybe try hot water on just the end.

What is the intended use? What are your expectations?

For my wife's 73, 4 Door, Dart we went with the basic (cheep) NAPA, gas shocks and they are awesome! A perfect match for our use, but I don't think I would like them on my Barracuda.

On the wife's dart they offer a nice, soft, but controlled ride. That's what she wants.

On my Barracuda I desire a firmer ride.
