What i have here is a complete, rebuilt Kelsey Hayes 4 piston, disc brake set up that is used on the 1965-72 A body Mopar cars, such as Duster, Dart, Demon, Valiant, and the 65-69 1st and 2nd generation early Barracuda's. It is my understanding that these Kelsey Hayes disc brakes were a dealer installed option starting on the 1965 Barracuda Formula S cars, then became a assembly line option sometime in 1965, and used in 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72.

I have spent a lot of time finding this equipment, taking the time to bust this stuff off a car out in the field, cleaning everything up, rebuilding the calipers, and finding and buying all the parts. This brake set up i was able to put together with parts that i had on hand, and others that i searched the nation to buy, to complete this set up with all factory parts. Found calipers at a swap meet here in California, Dust shields came from another source, hubs from another, and caliper hose brackets, from still another source.

This is what i do as a professional auto mechanic, on my own time at work, on my lunch time, and after i punch out for the work day. I rebuild disc brake components, upper, and lower control arms for these old Mopar cars. Shop labor rates where i'm at are $100.00 dollars an hour. If i charged you one quarter that rate it still would be low. I don't work for free, or go to the grocery store, or gas station, or pay my rent, without working to pay the bills. If you factor in what it took me to firstly buy these parts, bust these things off a car in the wrecking yard, cleaning them up, doing all the rebuilding, buying the new parts. You try it and see what rotors, ball joints, brake pads and hoses, rebuild kits, pistons in the calipers, caliper hard lines, bearings, races, seals, will cost you. I have allready done all the hard, dirty work for you. I can guarantee you, if you purchased someone's junk for $250.00 or more you will be into them for lots of money that i have just described.

OK, Here's what you are getting with this set up. Newly rebuilt calipers, caliper pistons that needed to be replaced, new brake pads, new hard brake lines on the calipers, new brake hoses on the calipers, pad hold down clips. New rotors. The hubs have all the bearings, and grease seals for the spindles. All the lug nuts, and studs are right hand threads.

Gravel shields, Spindles, with all the necessary mounting bolts are all there. Proportioning valve and all the hard lines to the master cylinder are included, so you don't have to spend time in finding those parts.

What you will need to purchase at your local parts store is your own DISC Brake master cylinder for this set up, whether you buy a new one, or rebuilt one, is up to you. It will depend on if you plan on using these parts for power disc brakes, or just manual brake. Also you need to purchase new DISC brake lower ball joints if your car needs them as disc brake ball joints attach to the spindles using 9/16 inch bolts where drum brake car ball joints used 1/2 inch diameter mounting bolts. Or have a machine shop drill yours out to 9/16 if they already are in good shape.

>>>>>>>>>> Now please read this about all the fine print about these parts.<<<<<<<<<<

I expect that you know how to work on brake systems on your car if you purchase all these parts from me. You need to know how to install brakes, bleed brakes, and know what the heck you are doing on a changeover such as this. These parts are being sold as is, even though they are rebuilt components. After all, these things are 40 + year old parts.

Once they leave here they are your's. No returns. I haven't had any complaints from my e Bay clients, and these internet web sites, that i sold rebuilt upper, and lower control arms, and various other style calipers for the old Mopars, and all the other brake set up's that i have sold to my customers. Everyone has been a happy camper.

>>>>>>>>>>Now please read this about shipping and my handling charges.<<<<<<<<<<

These parts are very HEAVY. I plan on sending the parts out in three boxes. One box for the left side parts, one for the right, and another for the proportioning valve and lines. Be aware if these parts go all the way to East coast states from California, it costs up to $140.00 to get these parts to you. I am not sending boxes of feathers out to you. I have no control over what the carriers want to charge to get these parts to your destination. I have already sold twenty other sets of these disc brake parts, so i know what it's been costing to send this stuff out to my buyers, after purchasing boxes for these parts, and the shipping.

This is the 21st set of these small bolt pattern disc brake set ups that i have put up for sale on e Bay, and Mopar web sites, during the past five years. When i find them, i rebuild them, then put them up for sale. I have sold 3 other sets of these disc brake set up's during the past twelve months, on and off e Bay. This is the last set that i have in stock. Unless i find more to rebuild this is it for awhile. Get this pair while you can.

Canadian and international buyers, please ask before you think about buying these items of mine. I have been giving estimates to Canadians and other countries. The shipping rates are going to make you fall out of your chair for parts this heavy. I just wanted to make you aware of this. AUSTRALIANS & NEW ZEALANDERS take note of this. I sold a set of these disc brakes to an Australian last month, that had me ship them to a container-shipping company in southern California. I can give you a good shipping quote.

Selling everything at $850.00 plus the shipping to your zip code.
Send me an e mail pm message thru this forum.
Thank's a lot.

Had four or five inquiries about these brakes, but nobody has stepped up to the plate, to purchase this last set up, that i have for sale.

So far everyone has been a "shopper", "tire kicker", "look e loo", and not really serious about buying brake parts.

Bump, to the top.

Jim,I have a question...in the pic of the spindles head-on, they look to be identical...is there not a left and a right spindle?

Not to worry.
I know about that, a day or two after i took the pictures and posted the ad.
I mixed up one of spindles in the picture from the other set that also was on my storage shelving.
Rest assured, a left, and a right, spindle are there in the complete set up.

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
This last brake set up of mine has sold.
Thats it, no more, all gone, all done.
I'm now out of business doing these unless i can come across a 100%, all there, parts wise, set up that i can rebuild.
I'm not going to try and search the nation anymore for missing parts, in doing these brakes.

I can still rebuild your calipers on a custom rebuild basis, as long as you don't complain to the labor charges, and then the both ways shipping on the parts.

I also do rebuilding on lower, and upper control arms, if anyone is interested in that service, too.

Thank you to everyone who has purchased these brake set ups from me in the past.
Appreciate the business.
Jim V.
