I have to agree with you on this. I was looking for a Bronco for a long time, kept finding ones that were complete rust buckets with stupid asking prices, but the pictures were very carefully taken to hide the rust issues. When I would ask for specific pictures, I always got the same answer, 'I don’t have the time, it's parked at my friend's house', blah blah blah.I like Ford Broncos, I've owned two of them, but every time I see a 90's Bronco for sale I want to throw up. I'm sorry, they are not that rare, SO THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE A 30K-40K ASKING PRICE FOR A HIGH MILEAGE TURD WITH LIPSTICK!
Feels good to let that out.
Yeah like "today only" and the ad is still there three months later.I'm sure plenty have seen the "Need it gone fast" ads on CL or FB marketplace. Those f**kers never respond, even if you tell them you'll pay exactly what they ask and pick it up.
Why does FCBO get to keep theirs? Its posts like this that make me miss the red X the most
Fewer thin skinned, whiny beeotches on FCBOWhy does FCBO get to keep theirs?
They used to do that on ebay. If you changed your ebay username, they put a sunglasses logo next to your new name. You could click on that and see who they "used to be".I don't mind measuring/weighing for a ship quote. You should only have to do it once. Why would the dimensions change?? Only thing the changes is destination.
I'm not a perfect buyer/seller, and I realize people have had patience with me at times, but yeah jerk move to hear "I'll take it, get me a ship quote", then 2 months later(after excuses) to get a reply back, "I found one already".
Also, the "name changing" bs doesn't help to keep track of d-bags....
If mods/Joey changes a members name, the previous alias' should be listed.
We do that here. Click on the member's screen name and there will be a small clock symbol after their name. That should tell you wat it was previously. I don't think the information goes back forever and possibly times out as well. They used to do that on ebay. If you changed your ebay username, they put a sunglasses logo next to your new name. Same here. I have a very simple system: take as many pictures as possible, box it up, measure/weigh the package, then write those numbers on a sticky note and affix to the box (along with what's in the box to remind my forgetful ***). Only thing left to do is print a shipping label once sold. Too many sellers make it more complicated than it needs to be.I don't mind measuring/weighing for a ship quote. You should only have to do it once.

agreedPay to play ... no one will like that..
Yeah or the ones that say "don't ask a bunch of questions" or some such. I just pass right on by.The other type of sellers I see are the "Don't ask if it's still available or I will block you" **** heads. We are human, sometimes we forget about things, especially when the ad is THREE TO SIX MONTHS OLD WITH NO UPDATES AND IS NOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST.
Another I have seen is "Will not respond if your phone number is not from my area code". In a world where people have cellular phones with different area codes, this person is either setting up a challenge, or is f**king stupid.
Too many people ask what the rock bottom price is and then try and negotiate down from there. Just make an offer. If people's feelings get hurt too bad.

I've never been good at that, so if someone won't give a price when I ask, I just move on.If you ask me what my rock bottom price is (no dicker sticker) I will ask you what is the highest price you will payToo many people ask what the rock bottom price is and then try and negotiate down from there. A buddy of mine always had trouble buying and selling. I've never seen a guy claim he got shafted so much. I can see why. He always had expectations that he never discussed with the other party.
Agreed. In my books the seller has to state their price first. Whether I negotiate or not depends on how much the item is and whether or not the price is fair. I'm no good at low balling for the sake of getting a good deal.I've never been good at that, so if someone won.t give a price when I ask, I just move on.
Had that happen on CL with a 66 Mustang coupe. Guy asked $4500 I'm like "Ok when can I come see it?" No response but watching the listing over a few days , the price gradually rose to about 7 grand. I figure the guy kept playing around till the responses stopped. They never got back to me.I've had quite a few instances where I'm first and set up the pickup only to have them turn around and say they received a ton of Interest after me and realized they set the price too low.. and then raise it on me.
Sun distributor machine, 50 bucks...
When I was messaged back with the address... they gave ne that bs and doubled the price.
Deal or not, I passed on principal alone.
I have to do it out of necessity. We only have so much to spend on "out of budget" items each month. I don't ask on everything. If I can afford something, I just buy it. I hate even having to ask. It sucks. I love all yall on here, because without a bunch of you, I wouldn't even have Vixen. It's nice to have a little a body again.Agreed. In my books the seller has to state their price first.
