morning fellers its been a productive day i dont know if i mentioned it, but i had made a "secret door" between my babies room (who sleeps on the second level of the house) and the loft in my middle girls room (who sleeps on the ground floor, but the loft is almost level with her sisters room) well i had it mostly done, for months now, except for the trim around the frame on the loft side since the wall wasnt 100% smooth, and the planking inside was between 1/8 and 5/16 of an inch too short, so to speak, i had to take a router to the back of each trim piece and remove enough material that i created an overlap on the trim to cover that gap i had started one piece months ago, and kinda got side tracked now, i dont know if you guys do this, but i have a "scrap wood bin" its great for fire starterts and the kids now they can use that wood for whatever catches their fancy wouldnt you know it, i had the piece i was working on laying on there, face down, so i could router the back so yesterday the girls asked if they could grab a piece of wood and paint on it...ill give you three guesses what piece they grabbed, but im pretty sure you'd only need one of course, i cant be mad at em, they got the wood from where they are allowed to grab it from but it did light a fire under me, so i finally finished it up today all that is left is a litte sanding to make it all nice and even, and then a bead of caulk to hide the (much smaller) gap that still exist between the trim and the wall but you always end up paying more then you though
Been a gorgeous day. Took the car out and got it washed then home and detailed it. Wife and I went out for a nice walk then came home and sat in the sun for about an hour and had a tea. It hit 6c but tomorrow will be sunny but back in the freezer again. Next week we may be into double digits.
2 hours to go.I had a friend call today with an offer. Where he lives he has had his moms car sitting for over a year with no plate and they said it must go by Friday. He asked me to store it but I told him I would rather look at it and make an offer to buy it because I know the could you store a car for me for a month turns into years. He said its an 89 Lincoln Town Car that runs and drives but after mom passed kids broke in and tore up the dash to take the radio. I know from talking to him he said its a pretty clean car and he said because it was moms it would kill him to see it smashed. He said the highest offer he had was 300 and he came down to 700 but I am thinking 500 to 550 and he has to get me a title or I kill it. I know at my favorite yard I can find a dash for about 50 bucks and save the car. I will know more after I look at it tonight.
Really a very nice day here, saw high of 55F with wind gusts of 30 mph, sunny all day, more of the same expected tomorrow.
Nice day here also , on the walk home from work young guy all messed so I called the non emergency line to report it said he was in distress that was 40 min ago still nothing Cops are frustrating, I can’t be drunk in public but they have no problem with open drug use Grrrrrrrrr.........
Well the Lincoln has rot in the frame so I will let him keep it at my place for now but dont want to buy it.
Morning guys. Nice and sunny today but will be cold. Nowhere near what it was like yesterday. Imagine, not this weekend but next weekend the time changes again. That'll give us longer days....looking good!!
The other day I posted pictures of Mr. Norm with my friend from the car show. He's autistic and he and his dad built a 67 GTX together for him. Here's the car with his dad behind the wheel. BTW he just got his beginners on Monday
I know exactly what you mean Linc. Plus my left shoulder is almost unusable and painful as hell. Sitting at night watching TV I have to try and find a position I can put my arm in to make it comfortable. Getting old SUCKS!!!
Been a beautiful sunny day but cold. Went for a walk and had to cut it short. A bitter cold wind coming from the North. As I was walking my eyes started to water and hard to see. That's when it's not nice walking. I did make a blueberry pie though this afternoon. Now we have something for dessert instead of ice cream. Will be cold again tonight but the Northern lights are supposed to be starting tonight.
Please put me out a slice of Blueberry pie. I should make it it the next few months. lol forgot the border is still closed to people crossing just for pie and a visit.
Sunny and 63F right now, and wind is almost non existent at the moment, seen dozens of motorcycle riders out enjoying the day this afternoon.
Why not just have a border party? I'm sure everyone can just stay on their side and chit chat with the buddies on the other side.
So travel is so-posed to be shut down but BC ferry’s are offering discounts for travel .....say what ?? Mixed messages or what ... wet and wild day here today .
