I went for a walk this afternoon. Geez you can really hear that water running now.
Still got lots of snow around though.
Be glad when that **** is all gone. Maybe I can find the large garbage bag of shredded paper I put out three weeks ago and got buried in the snow. I took a look around but man it's buried from when the plow came around.

Kinda doing OK he is. My daughter with the 11 kids just got home from visiting him. She went alone so no kids and helped grandma and grandpa clean there house and made breakfast one morning making pancakes. They wasn't perfectly round and Grandpa said he can't eat a pancake that's not the right shape.
Yea he's a bit off the normal but still alive.

That was awful nice of your daughter to do that for them.. Yeah he's in the age bracket when things they say or do doesn't makes sense to anyone except them.
In most cases you just have to play along. How is your mom doing BTW. Didn't she go into a nursing home? If she did I hope she's making out fine. At least you know she's in good hands. Hard being so far away.

Think my girl is a lot like yours caring and helpful. Yea mom is in a nursing home and think she is doing fine she hasn't complained of not having a perfect circle pancake yet. lol

for sure, if i cant have Dutch beer, or German, or Belgian, i would take Canadian beer over American any day of the week

but frankly, what Americans consider beer, us Europeans refer to as "festival beer"

(which, im sure you know, is notorious for being watered down)

My favorite. Was in Belgium. Had to be there.
I was sitting on the Grand Platz in Antwerpen with some buddies. One of my friends from Texas says I bet you a beer I can pick up the next female that walks past. We took him up on it. a Guy walks past, no fly then we all started to laugh, the next female was 2 nuns. He bought us some Corsendonk!

She is an EMT and works for the fire dept. both her and her husband so well trained in the med. part but not so much in the old person having issues kinda thing. God help her when I get to the old senile age of making sure my meal is perfect because she might just smack me silly and well deserved on my part.
Trust me Mark next time I eat at her house I'll give her a bad time for something stupid just to see a smile on her face and get a smack on my back for being a dad. Love my kids....

That's sad hope she heals fast.

I talked to her this morning and she spent the night in hospital for surgery this morning. She had broken her ankle right where there the tibia meets the ankle in two places. She was going to be having a plate put in I guess until it heals. She'll have to go to a convalescing place as she lives alone. Boy, I feel helpless but she lives 1 3/4 drive from here and I have appointments to go to so my hands are tied.
