Should have gotten directions from Fred and do the opposite. That's always the way it is, wash a car and get it spotless and then the rain comes down. That's when a garage comes handy
Been gorgeous today and had a nice walk then sat on the deck and of course my knees are sunburnt now. Going to the car show tonight (1st one this year)
Morning guys and Happy Tuesday. Another day in Paradise as the weather will be gorgeous again. Went to the fist car show last night and wasn't a bad turnout considering. It sure got cold and or course the wind was whipping across the parking lot.
Well happy Tuesday your self , I like the grand national, and the black barracuda! And you don’t see gremlins anymore.
Morning guys and Happy Hump Day. We've gone from a cool Spring right into Summer this week but not complaining. Have a good one. I was texting with Fred yesterday and he sent me a video of he and his son flying in the son's plane and then he did a roll. Neat to watch
yesterday was the first day i ran the AC in the house...it sure is nice in here now i also helped my neighbour replace her window unit (she doesnt have central air) over the weekend i sure am glad i got to do that before things heated up too much and the flies came out in force
That SO reminds me of years back when the kids were little- on road trips we'd play a version of the VW "punch buggy" game, only with Gremlins, and no punching.... I can still hear the kids calling out from the back seat "I see a Gremlin! I get a nickel!" They usually had earned enough to buy a soda at the next rest stop.
My kids did that also with the VW bug. One day we were cruising along the hwy I saw a Bug in a field and had been stripped so I yelled DEAD BUG. Kids thought that was a riot. Of course I had to sign that to my daughter and she thought it was funny too
I recall my Brat referring to that highway activity as "Slug Bug" She and her friends were very adept at identifying pretty much ANY VW product
Well guys just got in from the fields. A couple are still standing water so not able to work those. I got the first knockdown on the others and hope to fit (finish till) those in the afternoon and hopefully start planting.
Thanks CF for helping feed us all. It may be a small operation but it all helps. Hope you have a great yeild this yr
Good morning guys, calling for winter driving conditions here well last day at work is Monday , didn’t want it to be Friday the 13 .
it will be wintery driving here too, its a balmy 78 degrees out so im gonna pick the kids up in the duster what does that have to do with wintery driving you ask? im sure ill be doing a little slip-sliding
Been a gorgeous day. Been getting warmer and warmer every day. Even had a humidex as well today. Cleaned up my wife's 300 and then took it to fill it up as the price for gas dropped 4 cents last night and back up 5 cents tonight. WTF are these idiots doing. I do know the oil companies are now making huge profits. Shell made 9.1 billion profit for the last 1/4 so why are we paying high prices for gas? I know it's a world wide problem not just our country. Needs to be a big audit and find out why.
We were able to catch up with the legend himself this month! Here's a fun Q&A with the one and only, Connie Kalitta. Q: Can you tell us the story of how Kalitta Air was “born”? How did racing turn into airplanes? A: I was the driver of Ford’s top-fuel dragster at the time and I saw a business opportunity to fly car parts for them. With my race winnings I bought a twin-engine, piston-powered Cessna 310 in 1967, learned how to fly it and started hauling parts for Ford. Q: What is one of your favorite aviation memories? A: It’s hard to pick but certainly one of them would be purchasing my very first B747 back in 1992 from Japan Airlines. I flew it from Japan to YIP and it was incredible! Q: What's your favorite racing memory? A: Winning Indy! (And by that he means winning the 1994 US Nationals. It’s kind of a big deal.) Q: What hobbies do you have outside of the business? A: Who has time for hobbies?! Q: What is your favorite meal? A: Ribs from Bone Heads or a good meatloaf and mashed potatoes dinner. Q: What is one of the questions you get asked the most? A: Does the movie Heart Like a Wheel portray me accurately? To which I answer yes and no! Q: Any other fun facts? A: Back in the late 80’s I was arrested for speeding on Belleville Lake in my jet boat.
