Good morning boys, not much on the plate today.
Think I need to check out my house furnace and clean it before winter, so might do that today.

Working on that 63 Fury today and did some sandblasting on the rockers. Left side is almost ready for Epoxy primer.
Had to cut the edge of the deck lid off about a 1/16 of an inch and weld it back up. New 1/4 panels wasn't set right so I had no choice.
I didn't install the 1/4's but the guy that did seemed to do a good job, just a bit tight on the left side. coated and blocked with bondo because of all the small dents and ripples and now is straight. Hell of a lot of work for this old man but I'm trying to do the best I can.

Better than new with the quality work you are doing

My wife and I went to the Sunday cruise at the Pony Corral in Winnipeg this afternoon, met up with Murray and his wife Kim. Had a good chat over a cold beer before checking out the cars, and I also met up with another member here Muswagon with his 71 Duster 440 4 speed. Added bonus; a couple other Alberta members were there along with one of the ultra rare 72 Dart Swinger Special 340 cars, this one is a 4 speed. These cars were only sold in Canada, and only available from 3 dealers, Crosstown Motors in Edmonton Alberta, Pembina Dodge in Winnipeg, and one other dealer in Regina Saskatchewan. There is a website dedicated to these cars and they have been featured in Mopar magazines.

Lots of great cars there today, even came across a beautiful 1970 Nova that I was sure I had worked with the guy that built it 45 years ago. The more I looked it over the more I was sure. I asked who owned it, turned out I was right, the car now belongs to the son, his dad gave it to him a couple years ago. That was just a really cool moment. But, like a bonehead I forgot to take pictures of it!
:BangHead:
Car still looks as good as I remember it from 1980.
Going to an all Mopar show tomorrow, should be lots of pictures from that one.

Sounds like a good time Randy.

Funny thing about the show today, it featured the Transit Heritage Association with several retired busses. Turns out that I have driven 3 of them during my time at Winnipeg Transit, and my buddy Ray, who was also at the show, and was a mechanic at Winnipeg Transit for nearly 30 years had worked on them.
There was also a 1956 Grey Goose highway coach that very well could have been driven by my grandfather during his career as a driver there after he returned from WW2.
Quite a day.
