Found 52 cents in the 1/4 panels a rubber band and a Budweiser beer tag. lol
I could't get my self to use any other car but Mopar for patch panels and couldn't find one I could cut up SOOO my old Maytag dryer lid was just the right thickness.
Don't tell on me guys. lol
Damn Jeff don't do the 70* thing. lolBe good Mark!
How about a 74 duster hood for some steel Fred?
Probably not worth shipping huh!
Not a bad day here...
...did I mention it was 70°!
I still have a slide hammer with a screw on the end but never use it anymore.Fred, I haven't seen one of those screw-in slap hammers in 30 years! I guess you wish you could say the same thing huh?
Are you cutting any of that out?
The picture of the door and 1/4 I welded in the worm holes and welded the 1/4 edge so not much bondo because I don't like bondo on an edge. Not That It's perfect I am not the best body man or painter I just do what I can. Call me half assed . lolFred, I haven't seen one of those screw-in slap hammers in 30 years! That would be extremely difficult to repair without some filler. Do a bunch of welding and pulling and end up with filler anyway. Sometimes I weld the slide hammer screw to the panel instead of poking holes. Actually its a bolt. You can pull a lot harder and sometimes end up with a bigger hole too. ha haThe picture of the door and 1/4 I welded in the worm holes and welded the 1/4 edge so not much bondo because I don't like bondo on an edge. That's a good idea. I have a Dent Dowg at work but not mine so I do what I can at home. That would be extremely difficult to repair without some filler. LOL good one BP. I did my fare share of burning interiors.Ya gotta love welding text to filler holes. I got a stack of aluminum licence plates for covering stuff up.
When Ford came out with their hi pressure plastic fuel lines, one of the guys melted one and we had a pretty good inferno going. My dad was a volunteer firefighter and told me you have to get the base of the fire out first. I sprayed the floor and worked my way up. Then we stood there in disbelief as the fire was out and the raw gas was still pouring on the floor.

Damn Jeff ok I will redo that comment you saw my bad metal work. Ya boats and fire are always a bad idea. I cant believe the lack of safety we had on that crab boat I worked on in Bering Sea. Running a cutting torch without a spotter. Hell, I don't even know if we had a fire extinguisher. Man I did some stupid **** on that boat. Barely 18 years old.Yessir, when you're involved in any aviation related operations onboard a Navy ship you must attend firefighting school before any deployments. You learn a lot but it really scares the crap out of you! Jet fuel is kerosene actually and when there is an accident it gets really ugly fast.
My grand father had a 30' boat in West Port Washington and was out there commercial fishing a few years with him. The water there was bad enough. The Bering Sea can be real nasty.Ya boats and fire are always a bad idea. I cant believe the lack of safety we had on that crab boat I worked on in Bering Sea. This boat was 350 feet long. It was an old military transport boat converted to a floating crab processing boat. Saw some big waves for sure. Broke an anchor once. We were spinning in circles and came close to hitting land. Lots of stories to tell when we meet some day Fred.My grand father had a 30' boat in West Port Washington and was out there commercial fishing a few years with him. The water there was bad enough.
