I think after sandblasting you could spend a complete day blowing the sand off and not get it all.
Just finished using the POR-15 prep on my car 1/4s now when it's all bone dry I will put the top coat on and let it dry over night and should be able to weld new metal in tomorrow.
Damn FOG I sure hope I can finish it and enjoy it before I'm dead. lol
Hey Fred anyone that can live in your weather will live forever.:poke:

That POR-15 is amazing stuff. I did a battery tray the other day and dripped a bit on the OSB plywood I was using for a table. That POR-15 turned that OSB into the toughest piece of wood on the planet.
I did a 3000 gallon septic tank on a sewer truck a few years ago was real rusty I used the metal prep they make then put the POR-15 on in 3 coats with a paint roller. Was so sticky on the last 2 coats it was pulling the roller apart.
The tank is still showing no signs of rust. I did learn a good lesson on putting the lid back on the can to save what was left and having to chisel it off the next time I wanted to use what was left. lol

Yea sir I love that POR-15 just have to make sure you do all the steps otherwise it won't work ! We had the 48 frame blasted , not that well because you want to leave a little rust. I hit it with a hammer and it won't come off !!

Thought you guys might want to see where I went today.

This the store front of the Richard Petty Museum (which is right in front of the race shop) and right next to his house. I had to pick up the Secret Santa gift to get in the mail tomorrow.

I have not toured the museum in at least 20 years but will go with the wife next week and take my good camera so I can share if anyone's interesred.

I was wondering what you were up to. Always up for some pictures. I hang out at the Hot Mopar Babe thread regularly. It has pictures too.

I will post em and you might get bored with me!

The place is huge too!

Did you know that you can get Chargers and Challengers upgraded much the same way Yenko used to upgrade Camaros anf Novas?

I guess they're pretty bad-*** too with suspension and complete drivetrain improvements. Plus Richard signs the glovebox.

For a nominal fee!
Ford Mustang up grades are $69,800.00!

Would be nice but my money tree is dormant for the winter. lol

You have an engine for it yet FOG?
Yes I have a newer ford v6 for now with a 4 speed came out of a ranger truck. I have the original flatty , but needs a rebuild it's all good but needs valve job and hardening of he seats. We will fabricate motor mounts so we can go back to the flatty!

The V6 will have plenty of power and would be a lot of fun.
When you get going again on it would love to see some pictures of it getting put together.
