Glad you didn't get hit hard there Jeff that's a relief.Good Morning from Ice Station Zebra!
Got just a little bit of ice and the over reaction is comical!
Looks like no serious issues from it at all.
Hope everybody else is OK!

I couldn't imagine all the crap you guys had to put up with in the sand box.All this talk about sand reminded me of some time me and a bunch of good guys spent in the desert. We had been there long enough that when we would get our chow often times we would reach down and add a pinch of sand to the plate. In some small way it gave us victory over the desert. Rationale being " this time the desert didn't ruin our meal" We stole the victory and thwarted the desert. Twisted logic for a twisted time. Have a great day out there guys. I am going to make another run at the Demon today.
What Methane Man?Will do sir!
Be careful, if you can't be careful name it after Fred!
I guess if the shoe fits. What Methane Man?
Another reason to drink Canadian beer.
Windshield will be here Tuesday. I was wondering about that generic weatherstrip with the little stainless strip that might replace the 1/4 panel window outer weatherstrip.A 65 Chevy Impala 2dr Ht so that windshield will be a W660
I found a video for methane man but it was too disgusting to post.I guess if the shoe fits.
Looks like I got a new name, never thought I would be like a supper hero. LOL
Yea seen some methane generators nasty mix of **** to get them running. lolI found a video for methane man but it was too disgusting to post.![]()
The guy I saw must be sucking air into himself and then releasing it. When I was a kid I remember somebody calling it a suck fart. I wasn't very interested in the concept.Yea seen some methane generators nasty mix of **** to get them running. lol
By yourself? Not sure I understand. An engine hoist could work. I've seen guys "crib" them I have seen guys use dumpsters or 55 gallon barrels. I don't like the barrel idea. My buddy has a little lift that gets it oh... I don't know 2.5 or 3 feet off of the ground and is lifted with a floor jack some how. He is in Portland so I'm not real sure how that works but he has plenty of money for stuff like that.Hey BP was wondering how to get my car up high enough to work on the under side without getting a expensive rotisserie that I will only use once.
With the front suspension out I can lift the front end up by myself so not heavy.

You gave me an idea BP I got a cherry picker. gonna go try something.By yourself? Not sure I understand. An engine hoist could work. Me, I just have plain old jack stands. Heavy duty tall jack stands. That's what I used when I put in my relocate and subframe connectors in or when I do other mechanical work. I have four pieces of just the right sized angle aluminium I use between the rocker pinch weld and the jack stands. I'm sure that gets em a good 2 feet off of the ground.
I have in the past and had no problems but I put a fan right next to me.Question guys, can I weld on galvanized steel if I have a good draft taking the fumes away?
Yes. Best to get grind it off in the weld zone. MIG welds horribly if you don't.Question guys, can I weld on galvanized steel if I have a good draft taking the fumes away?
Yes, just try and grind as much of the galvvy away from the weld point as you possibly can. Position the weld area as close to a door as possible and put fan on high. Weld a little and clear smoke repeat as necessary. Wear a mask if at all possible. If not even a bandana is better than nothing. If you get poisoned it is about as sick as you can be and want to live.Question guys, can I weld on galvanized steel if I have a good draft taking the fumes away?
Thanks Jeff that's the plan.Whatever you do Fred, please err on the side of SAFETY!
listen to me I sound like a parent.
