Must be Sunday sure quite here.
Well I'm cleaning my gas tank for the scamp and knee deep in under coating and road dirt but got it down to shinny metal and putting on a little por-15 on the normal rust spots. Will take it to the body shop tomorrow and epoxy prime it and paint it, I hope anyway.
I'm really sold on por15. That stuff is tough. It smells just like windshield urethane when you grind it. I've been lightly blasting stuff (like the rusty core support on the Impala) spraying the por15 and waiting till its just tacky and spraying with low luster alkyd enamel. Cheap and tough. Looks real original too.

Little car show action with some pics of the finish on the impala parts.

How did the gas tank turn out Fred ?
Didn't go to the shop yet my son has to register for school at 1:00 today so just one trip to town for me today.
I'm curious as always FOG is it just the tail light bulb or the assembly?

Long story Fred. I bought a pack of 12 led 1157 bulbs , put them in and they didn't work.
You would think they are 1157 so they should work . The bulbs have a chip in them so that when you put 12 volts on one post it goes on dime and the other post it goes bright . But that does not work in our cars, the bulbs needs to have separate sides to the light , one for running light and one side bright for the brake light and then one for the turn signal. So I posted an add on here and mprblue2 from South Dakota told me what he used , so I trusted him and ordered philips 2057, 2357, p21/5w red and an electronic flasher el12 and they worked great. Saved me a lot of time and money. Those other bulbs are just trinkets .
