I think we have the problem solved this time. Used a belt sander to clean the housing and was perfectly flat then used Permatex "The Right Stuff". Looks like a winner this time. The pinion seal wasn't a hard job...took basically an hour to jack the car up on all 4 corners, re and re the yoke and clean the residue off the rear end housing. then we changed the oil and greased chassis and then did the thermostat housing. It rained while we did the thermostat and the nose was only in the building so the car got wet and then the sun came out and dried everything off. I'll detail it tomorrow. Oh my is it ever raining right now. bouncing off the roofs it's coming down so hard. It would be nice to get the rain gear on and go for a walk.Big car show/swap meet Fri/Sat. Bothwell Ontario , looks like a great weekend weather wise. Get that thermostat leak fixed Mark . This is what I used I even used it on my frost plugs when I installed them. Works great ! Old school..lol You remember that saying I use that s**t on everything.
