Hope you feel better Jeff. I dislike electric tools for that reason. Bout broke my arm with a 1/2 inch electric drill. Got all tangled up in my buffer the other day. Literally stopped the motor before I could unplug it.
What’s a hasta manana?

Just watched the show called Vegas Rat Rod he used dry ice to get undercoating off ,freezes the undercoating and makes it brittle comes right off , on tv anyway .
I use to burn it off with a touch and a scraper.

Have I been here that long?
I am so sorry you guys have put up with me for so long a time.
Looks like your stuck with me. lol
Montana state plays North Dakota State this weekend at the Fargodome. Damn, we are are practically brothers.

If I was serious about removing that undercoating I think I would find what softens it good and put that product in a pressure sprayer and soak it with that and use a steam cleaner. That would keep you from scratching all of that beautiful paint

Steam cleaner I think is a good idea better than a hot pressure washer.

FWIW from an ignorant Jarhead, I am going to take all mine off the Dart.

Using a needle gun seems easiest!
I saw a neat idea last night on Vegas Rat Rods. They put dry ice on undercoating and let it sit for a few minutes and it froze the undercoating solid and then used a scraper and came right off. Just don't burn yourself due to the extreme cold.
