Working the adult men's leagues can be frustrating. You think to yourself the Bantams are more mature! And lord knows they are all heading to the NHL in spite of being thirty pounds overweight and slow. And there is always that guy who knows the rules better and insists you are dropping the puck in wrong spot and it is a game altering event. Hah!
Yes no kidding, it’s always fun when grown men yell at you because they don’t know the rules but still got to argue, my reply is always , hey if your gonna argue please know the rules , but saying that there are a lot of good guys in the league.

Ditto BP just had total knee replacement surgery this year just starting to skate again. A bunch of us go to Mt Shasta in Ca next month for an outdoor all night tournament it is a hoot. Pull kegs and grills right up to boards then eat and drink like pirates all night with hockey games thrown in! By morning light you will have played half a dozen games thrown up at least twice and been drunk and sober three times. It is the most fun ever!

Be careful SLO!

After 3 complete replacements I will testify that a revision is much more difficult than a first time!

They do not take sideloads well and I cannot imagine trying to skate fast at all. Be cool, you are NOT 17 years old anymore!

Well guys got the dishes done some more holes welded up in the scamp and searching for something to do.
Gonna get more snow soon and windy so not gonna take a walk SOOOO time for a drink and looks like a few games of cards on the computer. lol

Sounds like time to relax Fred! That's good.

Oh man say it ain't so? Sadly I think you are correct good Sir. The risk reward analysis just doesn't pencil. My wife, Dr. and surgeon all echo your thoughts. I have searched high and low amongst our extended hockey community and have yet to find anyone that has decided to play again after TKR surgery. Competitive Hockey has been a part of my life for so long I simply don't know how to adjust without it. Appears I am about to learn.

All good things must come to and end sooner or later SLO

I really don't think that any of us want to give up what we did in the past SLO. I bought a motor home to be able to do what most people my age do sit at a camp ground some place warm and do nothing all day. Looks like that ain't for me so still trying to figure out what to do. My scamp is a great project but can't handle the paint fumes and dust much anymore.
I might go to Vegas and get me a hooker just once. LOL

Not only is the hooker expensive so is the anti-dote.

Yessir, judging from your signature you too have spent too many years self-abusively in the Corps. If was Rugby for me as all I could do on skates was bleed! I did that well however!

Sounds like you have some wise people in your life - listen to them.

I heard the ones in Vegas have inspections to be sure they are clean.

That's what I heard but I think in my case it will never happen. Not enough money anyway.
My cousin is retiring soon and that is his plan.

I am the only single guy out here so looks like time to change the subject.
