You'd probably get a good deal on a blower now Fred. Just be careful what motor is on the new one. There is a lot of Chinese junk out there at the moment. I always look for Briggs and Stratton because they're easy to work on. Even some of the well known brands of blowers are using that Chinese crap. They will surge on you and that is pretty much normal for them. Buying parts is a joke too. I tried to buy a bowl gasket for one which would have been 5 buck at the most on a bad day...not that one...I had to buy the whole carb kit for 30 bucks. That's just clazy lolLooks like it's passed the bushing and wearing into the casing Mark I should have checked it better when I put it away last spring. My fault live and learn I guess.
Oh my.....nastyThis is what we woke up to today, broke down and bought a snow blower today.

Should be all on their tab anyway. That's why you have insurance isn't it?I kind of like using the snowblower. They sure are a good tool. I wonder who grandpa farmer invented it.
Still got a tree on my roof. Insurance said get it off and we will be there Wednesday. I'm kind of at their mercy. Can't do much like I did 20 years ago. I want to put a snatch block 20 feet up a tree and hook my truck to a 100 foot cable and yank that thing off, Ohhh no. These wipersnappers got to have a crane.
They'll try and hoop you for sure. They like to collect the premiums but don't like to pay out.Sounds like you'll have plenty of fire wood BP.
Sure hope the insurance co. treats you right.
Hi Fred... shouldn't have any problem getting parts and as long as the motor is still good then worth putting money into it.Looks like I can still get parts for my John Deere blower Mark I will have to tear it apart and see how bad it is and then deiced if I should scrap it or not.
I really like how simple it is and easy to work on no fancy stuff and just a pull start but no problem it stays in a heated garage all winter.Hi Fred... shouldn't have any problem getting parts and as long as the motor is still good then worth putting money into it.
The old machine will last longer.I really like how simple it is and easy to work on no fancy stuff and just a pull start but no problem it stays in a heated garage all winter.
I think a newer style would be faster though.
Kinda what I thought CF. Sure is built better than the new ones Iv'e seen. The old machine will last longer.
The old saying "nothing runs like a deere".Kinda what I thought CF. Sure is built better than the new ones Iv'e seen.
Hope it works Fred!!Well back home from work not to many hours today but every little bit helps.
I think I'll go fire up the pellet stove and see if it works after cleaning and oiling all the fans.
Room fan is the one that was making noise FOG and the bushings looked good so just cleaned all the dust out and some oil on them so she is running now and no noise so far.Hope it works Fred!!
Maybe sand too !Room fan is the one that was making noise FOG and the bushings looked good so just cleaned all the dust out and some oil on them so she is running now and no noise so far.
It has a high heat shut off but not wanting to try that.
Lots of dust in the shop from my car and would think that is the problem.
