An upside down flag was/is a showing of maritime distress. I'm seeing some around here too. I don't think is disrespectful if used appropriately. What bothers me is all of the body draping and not taking it down at night. One of my neighbor gets it and the other has it stuck to his roof half of the time.
I didn't know it's a distress signal but still an insult to the country here.
Thanks for letting me know

Morning guys.
Mand oh man did it rain yesterday around suppertime. Lightning as well.
That has to be rare to have lightning in November.
Thank goodness it wasn't snow but too mild for that. It was 50F at bedtime last night.
Have a good day

I have seen it with snow. I have also heard thunder with snow although it is very rare.

Yup, seen lightening in January here. Just one time. It was a pretty quiet year for lightening around here. One of the rainiest Fall seasons I can recall is right now.

Well it started out at 10C this morning and is gradually getting colder and down to -3 tonight.
Took my wife out to lunch and then went to the new Costco here in town.
Yeah it's nice and new and all that but I prefer the older store we go to.
There used to be a horse farm many years ago in North Oshawa called Windfield Farms.
A famous Canadian horse called Northern Dancer was born there and is buried on the land where he was born.
The farm was on both sides of the main road and went for several concessions.
Today it's all housing developments and stores and huge apt buildings.
For someone to come back into town it would be a major shock.
In the spring we'd drive past the farm and see the new fouls running and jumping around.
It was a beautiful sight but now it's all brick and concrete.
If you want to see it go onto Google maps and use street view.
Go to Simcoe St North, Oshawa Ontario

There was a dark fella coming out of Costco yesterday in shorts and T shirt and it was cold and windy as hell.
Must have had some major shrinkage
